Let us count the ways...
So – the world has caught on to the utility of long-form video. Indeed, as Charles Tillinghast of msnbc.com told the Adcraft Club of Detroit recently, “…there are no more TV shows, only video shows that run on changing platforms…video follows the user.”
What are some of the newer developments in video viewing? Xbox 360 made a splash when it debuted a few years ago, largely due to its gaming capabilities – namely, its ability to download games and to allow players to compete with each other remotely. Yet this system can be, and often is, used for so much more. You can download movies and TV shows directly through the same connection you use to play Halo with that 14-year-old gaming wizard in Japan. Talk about one-stop shopping!
Don’t fret if you don’t have an Xbox, though; the free Videora Converter can convert all types of video files to be playable on several other platforms. Most notable are portable media players and cell phones.
Ah, cell phones – the next frontier of video entertainment. The first big player on board with this technology is Sprint, who started the Sprint Exclusive Entertainment network to provide original content for subscribers. Communicore (shameless self plug!) has thrown our hat into the arena by partnering with esteemed automotive journalist Rex Roy to create MotorHead Minute, a series of short programs that celebrate all things automotive. Check out www.motorheadminute.com for details.
Though we still love other formats, we’re pretty excited about this mobile video business. If you’d like to discuss creating your video for an alternative platform, please give Communicore a call.
